Dean’s Message

Dean’s Message

It is a very exciting time to study Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). Few things have the transformative potential for humanity, as do Artificial intelligence (AI), Big-Data, and Robotics. In contemporary society, the role of computer science has become and is becoming more and more important in all scientific fields, such as medicine, pharmacy, economics, education, biochemistry, biotechnology, aerospace, decision science, management, Law, and the Arts. In fact, computer science is considered to be one of the three significant elements for characterizing today’s world.

Leveraging XIM University’s high-quality programs, we emphasize on sound computer science fundamentals, coding, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Currently, we offer B.Tech. in CSE, M.Tech. in DSA, and Ph.D. in CSE. At XIM University, we teach and follow both ethically and environmentally responsible engineering practices and believe in inclusiveness and collaboration on a worldwide basis.

Our faculty members are highly qualified and have experience in various domains like data mining, machine learning, AI, bioinformatics, cloud computing, distributed linear algebra, and many more areas. We believe in interactive and quality learning, putting our best foot forward to ensure that students understand all concepts clearly, and encouraging a holistic academic environment.

Dr. Rudra Mohan Tripathy

Dean, School of Computer Science and Engineering
XIM University

Our students have access to a variety of computing facilities. The department maintains a state-of-the-art computer lab designed for collaborative work. The School of Computer Science & Engineering has the expertise, top infrastructure, the brand, and the motivation to inspire and educate the next generation of capable leaders for the society.

According to the Association of Computing Machinery [ACM]:

“Computing is one of those fields where it is almost impossible to predict what will happen next. This is why we cannot even begin to imagine all the ways that you can contribute to it, and it can make your life’s work exciting and real.”
