A Ethnic Day event organized by the students or the School of Computer Science, which took place on December 16, 2022, from 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM. To enhance the cultural ambiance, participants were encouraged to wear traditional attire representing their ethnic backgrounds. This added a vibrant and colorful dimension to the event, as people showcased their distinct cultural clothing sty !es, jewelry, and accessories.
The event was a resounding success, with a total of 100 participants, including students, faculty members, and staff.
Event Overview:
The Ethnic Day event took place in the XIM university mini auditorium, which was beautifully decorated to reflect the rich tapestry of various cultures. The program commenced at 3 :45 PM with an opening speech by the event coordinator, and the dean of our school Dr. Rudra Mohan Tripathy. And He shared his thoughts about the ethnic day. followed by a series of amazing and soulful performances, in the areas of singing and dancing, given by the immensely talented students of our department. After that, an ethnic ramp show was held, where each and every participant gave their best to put others in the shade and steal the show. A lucky draw was conducted, where the winner was selected by our Dean Sir, by drawing out a chit from a box full of chits filled with the student names on the inside. Finally, the event ended with the students playing the Housie game. Each event’s winner was awarded a special gift.
Conclusion:
The Ethnic Day event organized by the School of Computer Science was a grand success, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration among the participants. Through this event, we were able to create a platform that encouraged cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
